How to Write a Million Dollar Headline
Copying the Copywriters
What if there ortho evra lawyer a way you could borrow the secrets of some of the most successful copywriters of all time?
And what if, as you student loan consolidations borrowing their secrets, you stumbled upon a formula you could use, that would automatically pattern your headlines after some of the most successful headlines of all time?
(We're talking headlines that have coaxed readers eyeballs into sales copy resulting in millions of dollars in sales!)
Wouldn't it be nice, if such a formula did exist? Wouldn't you want to know about that, and get your hands on it, as soon as it was humanly possible? Of course!
Since this is so - you'll want to listen up - because I've got the formula! (And I'm about to give it to you on a silver platter in the next few paragraphs!) Intrigued? Good! Let's get started!
The Secret Formula
The secret formula is really quite simple. It's this: Create your own headline templates, using the most successful headlines that have ever been written, headlines that have generated millions of dollars in sales.
That's it! (Wasn't that easy?) Why re-invent the wheel? If we can take bits and pieces of those headlines, (proven headlines, million-dollar headlines) ...and insert our own benefits using the same model ... (i.e., the same themes, structure, and approaches they used) ... aren't we likely to get the same, or similar results that they did?
Of course.
Because success isn't arbitrary. Like everything else in the universe, success operates on principles of cause and effect. That means the same structure and ideas that caused their success, should cause similar success for us, right?
So again, why re-invent the wheel? It makes more sense to "borrow" ideas that have already worked, and make them our own, than it does to blindly "throw darts" at a target we're "hoping" will land on a bulls-eye. Do you agree? Yes? Then here's what you do.
With just a little research it shouldn't be too hard to find ads that have generated millions of dollars in sales. Once you've found some examine their headlines and select one to model. For example, say you found one like this: "Are You Ashamed of Smells in Your Home?" Wow. Talk about qualifying your prospect! If you were trying to get rid of household odors, would that ad get your attention? Sure would!
So let's model it with a template of our own. It would look something like this: "Are You Ashamed Of _____ in/on Your _____?" Now let's use this model to create a few headlines.
Imagine you sell cosmetics. You could try something like this: "Are You Ashamed Of Wrinkles On Your Face?" Or, "Are You Ashamed Of Dark, Baggy Circles Under Your Eyes?" Or, how about a product targeting teens? "Are You Ashamed Of Pimples On Your Face?"
As you can see, the possibilities are endless. You could (and should) even try variations and test to see which one pulls best. You'd be amazed how much of a difference you can get in your responses by changing a single word! For example: "Are You Embarrassed By Pimples On Your Face?" You were a teen once. What's the answer to that question? All you changed is one word. You substituted 'embarrassed' for 'ashamed'. Or, in today's "extreme" vernacular you could even experiment with "Are You Ashamed Of Zits On Your Face?"
Time To Make Your Millions
There you have it. For review: 1. Find million dollar headlines. 2. make templates modeling them, and, 3. experiment and test, then use your best pulling headlines.
Oh yeah, one other thing. Have fun while you do it!
